Project Summary

Plant a Tree

1. The Background:

With the return of the Jews to the Holy Land, people have taken it upon themselves to plant trees throughout the Land of Israel, as it says in Leviticus, 19:23:

“And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees…”

We have have created forests all over the country, from north to south, including Judea and Samaria.

In honor of the holiday of Tu B’shvat, the Birthday of the Trees, (which falls on the fifteenth of the Hebrew month of Shvat), people celebrate by planting trees all across the country.

1. The Cost

For only $18 you can plant your own tree in the Heart of Israel.
